What did Daddy bring home this time?

"Mom! Daddy brought us home a new pet!", the boys hollered into the house last night when Geoff got home from work. 

You really never know what this guy is going to bring home. Once it was flying squirrel babies. Another time, Gila woodpeckers so tiny they had no feathers and their eyes were still shut.

I never showed you a picture of them. Here they are when they got bigger hanging out on Elijah's shirt.

Back to last night.

The boys were thrilled that their daddy brought home two baby red rat snakes.

Even though the boys wanted to keep them forever we let them go to make a happy home next to our creek.

I hope that once they grow big and strong that they'll remember to stay out of my path so they don't scare ten years off my life!
