Andrew Came to Visit!

The highlight of January and beginning of February was definitely my little brother Andrew coming to visit! We hadn't gotten to see him for three years so it was really special to be able to spend ten days with him here in Alaska. We enjoyed showing him around and introducing him to our favorite places, the people in our lives here, and also exploring new places with him.

The first day the boys and I took him downtown to explore. We saw the ice sculptures and walked around all over the place.

Elijah took this picture for us.

We ended the day at Point Waronzof to watch the beautiful sunset.

There is an art project called the 100Stone Project on display at the point at the moment.
The art project is meant to highlight human vulnerability and suicide prevention. You can read more about it here.

The boys are standing on huge chunks of ice that have broken off and built up during high tide.
