Cozy Alaskan Mornings

We don't normally put up our Christmas tree this early but with the darker mornings and evenings it's nice to have the warm glow from the lights to brighten the dark.

We're losing about 4 minutes of day light each day. The sun rises around 9:30am now and sets around 4:00pm. So we still have over 6 hours of light during the day. The sun is lower in the sky all day though, never rising to it's full height in the sky.

I really haven't minded the shorter days.
It's cozy to have the lights, fire and candles all lite and glowing in the morning and evenings.

Beauty….

Drink it in and savor it - all of it. I love to do these things too, though we have a few hours more of daylight than you do.

I feel warm and settled in the lights and candles. It is cozy and delightful!

I love this time of year.

What a sweet picture!! (And what a wise mama you are to make the most out of something that others might complain about.)
