I didn't want to miss Vee's Note Card Party this month!
My boys and I saw these beautiful sand hill cranes yesterday while we were down by the lake here in our town. I usually only see two together at a time so it was a treat to see this group of four.
See the rest of the post and photos from our Learning by the Lake here.

ha - a great surprise! Love these shots.
Those birds are so graceful looking! You sure got amazingly close to them. They are famously skittish of people.
What graceful, elegant legs those birds have. And I admire their posture! Beautiful shots.
Gorgeous!
I tried to email you, but it bounced back. Not sure why,

Hi Melissa!
What a beautiful creature.
Wouldn't those be wonderful framed and put in a group? I love them.

The over the top red! Aren't birds fun with their legs and colors? You did a great job capturing an unusual grouping.
(And I've recently read that Sand Hill Crane meat tastes really good. Don't know if I could bear to shoot one though to find out!)
The cranes are amazing looking! We don't have these in our area, so I was excited to see them. Great shots!
