Historic St Augustine

By the time we visited "the little fort" and drove to Historic St Augustine it was way past lunch time so we started looking for a place to eat.

We ended up at a really pretty sea food restaurant over looking the water and the Lions Bridge.
The main reason we ended up here was because they offered free parking to their guests.

Since it was late there were very few people in the place and we got the balcony to ourselves.

Waitin' for our food.

Elijah enjoyed his fried shrimp and fries.

After lunch we drove around downtown a bit and looked at all the neat old homes and buildings. The streets were pretty narrow in places.

After finding a place to park we started walking and enjoyed all the shops and neat things to see down town.

The Old Drugstore

Inside the old drugstore.

This is the oldest wooden school house in the U.S.
it's a little crooked

I just love this picture of Elijah and Ethan!
We dogged in and out of the shops as it rained and found our way to The Hyppo. These popcicles are made from fresh local ingredients.

Geoff picked Mango Habanero. Ethan wanted Strawberry. Elijah picked Peach Cream and I had plain Mango. They also had some other interesting combinations like Pineapple Cilantro, Lavender Lemon Cream and Chipotle Peach.

The End

(for now)
