Filling up the buckets

I went trick or treating with a astronaut and a fireman.
It was both Elijah's and Ethan's first time trick or treating!

Our neighbor Sierra was a princess and we tagged along with them. It was a beautiful evening!

Ethan had no reservations about knocking on door after door and accepting candy from folks. He got a lot of practice saying "thank you". His words were a little clearer by the end of the night.

Surveying the loot.

There's something about Elijah's eyes in this photo makes me think SUGAR RUSH! =)

 I hope you all had a great weekend!

Don't eat too much candy!

Joining in October's Party

Elijah

October's Party

October gave a party;

The leaves by hundreds came—

The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,

And leaves of every name.

The Sunshine spread a carpet,

And everything was grand,

Miss Weather led the dancing,

Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,

The Oaks in crimson dressed;

The lovely Misses Maple

In scarlet looked their best;

All balanced to their partners,

And gaily fluttered by;

The sight was like a rainbow

New fallen from the sky.

Then, in the rustic hollow,

At hide-and-seek they played,

The party closed at sundown,

And everybody stayed.

Professor Wind played louder;

They flew along the ground;

And then the party ended

In jolly "hands around."

Bumble Bee

"Today I saw a bumblebee.

He was on a pretty rose.

I leaned in to look at him,

and he stung me on my nose!

I wasn’t gonna squish him,

only watch and see …

but I’ll never get THAT close again

to a grouchy grumble-bee!"

Now is my season.

Jenny @ Home is Where... recently wrote a post titled What a Boy Needs.

"My mother’s heart knows now, the wisdom hidden from me then: A boy needs time. A boy needs fellowship. A boy needs to be included in your life; to walk with you, to talk with you. A boy needs to pray with you- to see you pray, to see you strong and to see you weak. A boy needs to know that he is accepted, loved, and always has a place. A boy needs to know his place, in relation to his God, his parents, his neighbors and siblings. A boy needs.

The Bible tells me that “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven:…a time to build up,…a time to embrace,…a time to gain, and a time to lose; A time to keep,…and a time to speak; A time to love,…” -Ecclesiastes 3:1,3,5-8

 It’s easy to forget- but pause and remember, now is your season. Fill your boy’s need, while he is yours."

I was browsing back through my pictures from Fall last year in Northern Ireland and found some of the boys and our pumpkins then. This is my Elijah. Next week i'll post one of Ethan from last year. Both boys have changed a lot but  Ethan has changed the most!

Speaking of Ethan. I hear him waking up from his nap. Time to go!

I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend!

"Does it look beautiful?"

"Mommy, come look at what i did!"
He was setting up the shelf with some of his special things.
A card he received from his grandma that day along with a few little pumpkins we picked up at the store.

"Does it look beautiful?" he asked.

Yes, Elijah. Thank you. It looks perfect.
I love you!

A Cozy Tent Kind of Day

The boys and I are enjoying some extra time at home today. Since they have colds we're home from childcare.

Now what to do with two sick boys? Make a tent and watch a movie of course! =)

Enjoy your day!

My Favorite Season!

Saturday we enjoyed a day out in Versailles at the Olde Tyme Apple Festival with some friends.

The leaves are just starting to change.
My boys enjoying the parade.

The boys balloons became swords.
Sweet Eunsun and her pink balloon flower.
 And hats.
