My Boys

Thanks for all your comments on Saturday's post!

I had this idea in my head to get a family picture with us all peeking out over pumpkins. Kind of like this...

I found it's really hard to get multiple family members to look the same way at the same time and smile nicely.

Take #1...
Take #357... =)
If only you could hear me in the background saying "No! Smile!", "Look over HERE!", "Stop moving!", "Elijah, stop pushing your brother!"

Geoff just stared making silly faces and making the boys laugh.

So I gave up fighting against the goofy boys and told them all to make silly faces...
Sometimes you just have to work with what you're given. And i was given some silly guys in good mood who just wanted to have fun. So we didn't get our perfect family photo. But we got some fun memories instead. And I think that is better anyway.

Thanks for following along with this crazy family of mine!

In other news. We had a prayer meeting to share at last night and another one tonight. We're keeping Rachel busy watching the boys! I don't know what we would do without her! We're so thankful she's here to take care of the boys while we're out. We come home and everything is quiet with both boys in bed sleeping away. It makes it easier for me to leave knowing they are in her hands. So thank you Rachel!

Glad you chose to go with the moment. So much better than getting frustrated.

Rachel must be a gem. It is so wonderful to have someone you trust completely with your children.

I often find this happens in my classroom, too.

I plan a lesson, and the kids take it a whole different direction. An important direction, but a direction nonetheless.

I think that our silly, crazy, candid photos are my favorite ones. What fun memories!!

Love the pics Melissa! Those silly, candid moments are the best!!

Glad you have Rachel! I can relate to the feeling of peace when you leave your baby/babies behind while you are out. There is nothing better than knowing that they are being well taken care of and loved by the person they are with. Such a peace.

You're so welcome - although now that you know what madness ensues when you're gone maybe you won't feel so relaxed lol!
