Thankful Thursday

Taken on Mother's Day
I've been coming across so many stories and reading so many different blogs like this one and this one about kids with life threatening health issues. Sadly some fight hard but lose the battle in the end.

I'm in awe of the strength and faith their parents show. I honestly don't know how I would respond if I were in their shoes. I like to think that I would continue to trust the Lord and His goodness and that my faith would only be strengthened through something like that but until i've actually been in that place I can't say for sure.

All that to say that I don't take my childrens good health for granted anymore. I'm SO incredibly thankful that we haven't had to deal with any thing worse than a fever and colds. Thank you, God!

I'm also thankful for the little things that make this world beautiful.

Like bright flowers and green grass.

And family. More specifically a sister in law who likes to bless others with her cooking.

This was us last week and the delicious Mexican meal Rachel prepared!

I could go on but I can always list more next week. Or any day I have the notion. =)

What are you thankful for?

Oh Melissa, I am with you on having a healthy baby. I so dont take it for granted and even get tears about it. I constantly pray for good health for Cayden and Ryan (and family), its just so scary how life can change in the blink of an eye. My heart goes out and breaks for all those parents who have been given such a challenge in life. I am so thankful for good health, more than anything.
