The Year in Review

As I was putting these pictures together it reminded me of all that God has done for us this year. He is so good! And He's brought us so far. This year has had many struggles and some hard times but as I look back those difficulties aren't what I see. Instead I see God's hand leading us to where we are today. And I see His love teaching me and strengthening me.
If there's one lesson that I've learned this year. (still am learning) It's to take those unexpected turns in our paths as gifts from God. Instead of letting them hold us back, learn from them and use them as stepping stones.
And another thing is to not focus so much at our own problems and struggles. Look around and see how we can reach out to someone else. We have no idea what people are dealing with or what hardship they are carrying around until we invest our time and ourselves into their lives. Maybe God has allowed you to go through something in order for you to be a help to someone else dealing with the same thing. Just a thought.

Love,

I loved the slide show and you are so right about how God leads us.

He is always there, whether we feel Him or not. He uses things in our lives. I am reading Carol Kent's Book, A New Normal. It points that out so well.

That was so cute, I loved it!! Great job!!

Yes, I have been through different seasons where I can and have helped others experiencing the same. What is sad on my heart now is that my daughter is in love with a non Christian. This is so heavy on my heart that I need someone to come along and help me get through this that has experienced this sad sad situation.

This is the sentence I was referring to. I have been in situations where I can help people. I was just saying I need a person who has been in my current situation. No worries sweet Melissa!

I definitely know what you mean...God does use such hard experiences in life to shape us to be more like Him.. This past year was soooooo tough on me but I can honestly say, it has made me have some "Aha" moments!
