The average American has 700 industrial chemicals in their bodies!
Geoff and I went to a health seminar on Saturday. One of the things we learned about was glutathione. It's a powerful antioxidant in our bodies that helps remove those chemicals, free radicals and reduces damage to our cells. It can even remove heavy metals from our bodies! It's very important and our bodies produce it naturally. But after the age of 21 our glutathione levels drop. The good news is that we can increase our levels through the food we eat!
Some foods that boost Glutathione are spinach, lemons, okra, asparagus, avocados, onions, squash, garlic, tomatoes, curcumin (yellow curry).
Here's a recipe that includes many of those ingredients for a healthy and delicious snack!
Homemade Salsa!
Measurements don't have to be exact.
Chop it all up and mix it together.
Serve with tortilla or corn chips.

That seminar sounds really good, too!

Try adding some pepper powder and cumin powder to this. It will add to the taste :)
I've bought the ingrediants today. I plan to make it tomorrow! Mmm we like salsa too
the previous post was real cute :)
I was reading that "Curcumin is a component of the spice Tumeric or Turmeric" I thought I'd write it here so readers would know if they don't have Curcumin use Tumeric.

Thanks again for the info
sounds like a great seminar. It's scary the things that are in our bodies today. No wonder the cancers seem to be on a rise. Very interesting.
LOVE salsa, and homemade and chunky is best! YUMMMM!
I've made this once but cannot recall. About how much salsa does this make?
That's a good question Lindsay, I never measured it. It makes a good amount, i guess it depends on how large your tomatoes, onion and peppers are.
