Rainy Day Baking

(photo from Taste of Home website)

It was so dark and rainy all day today. So we had to find things to do in side to entertain a certain two year old and and keep him busy. So after coloring pictures, reading books, blowing bubbles, cleaning our room, sorting out toys, and helping Grandma wrap presents we still needed something to do!

So we made
Fudge Puddles. Oh my goodness! Yum! My Aunt Sharon used to make them while we were in Pennsylvania and every one loved them! As someone accurately described, "These cookies are contagious happiness!"

So we made some happiness and a bit of a mess! =)

I can't remember what I've shared recently about the visa situation and the baby so if i'm repeating myself please just ignore me. =)

Our visa application is getting processed. We are working on getting a bit more paper work for them. Once all the paper work is in it shouldn't take too much longer for it to be approved. But we've decided to go ahead and stay here until the baby is born. Since by the time the visa comes it will only be a few more weeks until our due date in January. So we are going to go to Labor of Love in Clearwater to have the baby. My sister is a midwife there so she will get to be our midwife! Yay!

On the pregnancy note... we're at 35 weeks. I feel pretty good for the most part. It's getting harder to sleep at night. My legs get all sore and achy. That and I've got a two year old kicking me in the side. =)
Even though people tell me i look small we measured right on track and I feel large and uncomfortable. And there's still five weeks to go!
I'm not as apprehensive about the labor and delivery this time around. I can't say I'm looking forward to the pain but I think i'll be able to handle it better and know what to do better this time. At least I hope that's true.

My dear Geoff is coming back for Christmas. He arrives on the 22nd, only eleven more days!

He's keeping busy over there in Northern Ireland. He's working and helping out at church where he can. He told me he's going to be Santa Clause at the children's christmas party this Saturday! Oh how i wish i could be there for that! =) He says he's going to wear his cowboy boots and "be an American Santa".
