August 16th - 2018

What a great day this was! Mountains, sunshine, hiking with friends, and blueberry picking in Girdwood. We even saw beluga whales on the drive down.

The photos aren't the best since i just took them all with my cell phone camera. It was drizzly when we headed out and I didn't want to take my nice camera out in the weather. But it cleared up and ended up being a beautiful sunny afternoon!

These videos are from the hand tram (a little metal cage that you pull across with ropes) over the Glacier Creek gorge.

The first one is of Elijah, Ethan, and I crossing over. The second one is looking back and watching some friends coming over.

After we got everyone in our hiking group  across on the hand tram we hiked a bit more until we came to a creek.

Once you cross the bridge there are a whole bunch of wild blueberries growing all over the hillside.

We stopped here to eat our lunches and pick the berries.

Ethan soaking up the sunshine.
