An Afternoon on Carpenter Lake

Usually August tends to be rainy around here. But not this year. This August has been full of bright, sunny, warm days.

We've started hosting a small group in our home each week. The past Saturday the church had all the small group leaders out to one of the pastors homes in Wasilla for a get together.

We always enjoy the drive out there.

These photos are taken near Point MacKenzie looking across the Knik Arm to the Chugach Mountain range.
It's a beautiful area. Maybe we'll live out here one day. :)

Pastor Dale and his wife have a beautiful home right on Carpenter Lake. They love to share what they have with others and we sure enjoyed our afternoon at their home.

The kids had a blast playing in the water and using the paddle boat.

I enjoyed meeting new friends and taking a tour of the garden and bee hives Pastor Dale has set up.

Driving home about 7pm. We still have long days with plenty of sunlight.
