Christmas 2014

Waking up to the scent of roasting turkey really makes it feel like Christmas to me. I've got a wonderful hubby who always takes care of cooking the turkey. He does a good job!

We started the day off with opening stockings and skyping with the family in Northern Ireland.
Later on we phoned our family in Florida and Grandma in New York.

Our lovely neighbors came over for Christmas dinner. After we ate the kids cut out and decorated gingerbread cookies. It was my first time making gingerbread. I used our gluten free flour and i was a bit worried it wouldn't hold together for rolling and cutting but it did great!

This was a lot of fun!

Our wish came true and it snowed big fat fluffy snow flakes on Christmas morning. It was wonderful! Then later on after lunch the sun broke through and we enjoyed some sunshine before it got dark again at 4:00.
It hasn't snowed since.
