Saturday at the Nature Center

Saturday was warm and sunny.
We drove over to visit the Eagle River Nature Center.

The views alone are worth the drive!

These photos are taken from the truck window as we passed.
You'll notice that there are no bill boards along the roads which is amazing.
No one wants ads blocking views like these!

The mountains were hazy. Shows you how warm it was that day.

The Nature Center is an amazing place!

It's chock full of exciting things for kids to touch, feel and explore.

Bones, furs, nests, skins, animal track castings...

We got to the center just in time to join in a class about birds and nests.

They gave the kids binoculars and we went on a walk to look for birds and see if we could find nests. The kids collected bits and pieces of things to make a nest of their own.

If they do twelve of these different classes they can become Junior Naturalists.

Baby salmon!

Simply amazing.

I can't believe we get to live here.

Thank you, God.
