The view from here

I've always loved watching the sun set.

One of the best things about our new place is the nice big windows facing west. They let in a tone of light through out the day and are perfect for sunset viewing in the evening.

Our apartment also sits at the top of a small hill so it gives us a better view of the sun setting over the city of Anchorage. As Ethan pointed out a few day ago "Each day is different".
He's right, each evening the sunset changes and is always beautiful.

The sun is setting later and later each night. These were taken about ten o'clock.
Soon we'll have 22 hours of sunlight. Amazing!

The house was quiet. I was sitting with a book and watching the sky when I heard soft footsteps behind me. This little guy often has a hard time falling asleep and he came out and sat with me for a while. Loved it.

I'm wondering if I read your blog awhile ago as it seems familiar and I see you are kin to Deanna. Such a beautiful picture of you and your son. I would think it would take some time to learn to fall asleep in day light. When we lived in West Africa the transport there were trucks and all had a saying painted on the back. I enjoyed collecting them and one of my favorites reminds me of what your son said, "All Days Are Not the Same." ! !

Glorious sunset! I see God's Hand in His creation every day. What a blessing.

I like that picture of you two <3 <3 Elijah I know the feeling! I feel your 'pain' of insomnia, as mine started at your age as well. How about when we can't sleep we pray for each other?! Melissa, Nice post.
