The Alaskan adventure begins!

With all the dreaded goodbyes see you laters behind us I find myself focusing on and getting more excited about what lays ahead.

My mom and dad took us to the Orlando airport on Thursday morning.
Only one bag was slightly overweight but they didn't charge us for the extra couple pounds. So that was a blessing.

As we were standing there getting our bags checked in just after saying goodbye to my mom and dad. Elijah said "I miss them already."

Everything went smoothly. Really couldn't have asked for a better trip.

Our flight to Chicago was two and a half hours and I sat in row with the boys. Geoff sat in front of us. They did great. We just pulled out the portable dvd player and they were happy.

Once we landed in Chicago we found our next gate and then got something to eat as well as picked up some food for the next flight.

We're really going!

Ethan and I in Chicago.

We were split up again on this flight.
Ethan and I sat on one side and Geoff and Elijah sat across the isle.
So both boys had window seats.
Once we were in the air Ethan fell asleep and slept for almost three hours.
The flight was just over six hours long.

What beauty we saw as we flew up over Canada and over Alaska!

See the glacier down there under the wing in the river below?

Tucked there between the mountains and the inlet lays Anchorage, our new home town!

We're going to be living down there some where.
We have an appointment in a couple hours to see a place.

We got in around 7pm and the sun was still shining brightly.

Geoff's new boss picked us up and took us to our hotel. We got cleaned up and went to bed since we were all exhausted! It's amazing how worn out you feel after sitting on an airplane all day! haha! Thankfully Ethan went to sleep just fine even after sleeping half the flight.

Thanks for all your prayers and encouragement!
