Field Trip + Time with Grandma = Learning and Fun Memories

My mom took the boys on a field trip today.

They ate lunch at a park before going to a library that has a really interesting science area for the kids. They learned about snakes and other Florida critters, sink holes and scrub jays.

Florida scrub-jays mate for life and live in family groups made up of the pair, their offspring from years past and sometimes they will even adopt other birds into their family.

There's a neat trail behind the library where you can see the scrub jays and feed them.

Do you see the three birds on the ground in front of the boys?

They came home bubbling with stories and things they had learned from their day with Grandma.
