Ethan's Birthday

The night before Ethan's birthday I put Ethan to bed and let Elijah stay up with me to decorate as a surprise for Ethan.

Thank goodness i'm not the only one who can blow up balloons around here anymore!

It wasn't a total surprise because a very excited Ethan kept creeping out of bed to tip toe down the hall way and peek around the corner. 

 In the morning we let a sleepy Ethan open his gifts.

Then thinking, "I hope I don't regret this!", I let them eat cupcakes for breakfast.

Had to laugh to myself when I saw the different methods for cupcake eating.

Then it was time for school with Elijah and play time with the new toys.

After a lunch of macaroni and cheese, as requested by the birthday boy, we took off for the dollar theater. We saw Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2. The boys loved it and at 1:30 on a school day we basically had the theater to ourselves!

On the way home we stopped at the post office to pick up a birthday package from our family in Scotland.

Side note: Be sure to pick up some Forever Stamps soon since postage is going up in a couple of weeks.

Alison has five boys so she has a pretty good idea of what little boys like. 

She sent two amazing swords that saw battle right away.

 

 Ethan knows that even on the busiest of days there always time to snuggle with your pet.

There was another beautiful sunset to end the day.
