Christmas Joys

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads...

NOT!

I found them looking at books by flashlight long after we said goodnight.

Looks like Ethan's finally getting sleepy!

The boys eventually fell asleep and Christmas morning dawned bright and beautiful.

I am SO thankful for my boys. They are the best gifts!

We started by opening stockings in our pjs.

After breakfast and reading the Christmas story we opened more presents.

Then the boys played with their new toys while Geoff and I worked on preparing the food to take to my parents house where we would all eat together.

Gathered around the table.

Geoff's gift to Elijah was a pellet gun.
