Update on Grammy

We had a bit of a scare over the weekend.

Woke up Saturday morning to the news that Grammy was in the ER with what appeared to be a stroke and heart attack.

Of course all previous plans for the day were put aside as we focused on our dear Grandma.
Geoff was such a great support and help with the boys all day so I could be at the hospital with my mom and Grammy.

She was very weak and her speech and memory were affected which was hard to see because this women is hard slow down. She was still volunteering at a local food bank once a week and involved in other activities.

This wasn't a surprise to the Lord. He allowed it to come into our lives and He is good and we can trust Him in ALL things.

Tests eventually showed calcium in her heart which a piece may have broken off and caused her stroke.

I know a lot of you were praying and we thank you for those prayers.

It was amazing what a difference a day makes. She is improving and her speech and memory are back! Praise the Lord!

My sister said it well,
"She's a survivor, a fighter. She has allowed God to work through her and in her life to be an example of Christ's love to other! She is a treasure to us! We have a rich family heritage because of her!"
