Keep Calm and Eat Cupcakes

"I'm going to need your help at the end of October", my friend Sherri said to me months ago.

Yesterday that day came.

After dropping my boys off at Grandma's house (Thanks Mom!) Sherri and I met in her parents kitchen to knock out 600 cupcakes for a wedding this weekend.

She was well prepared with two kitchen aid mixers. I'm now thanking God for Kitchen Aids.
Eight dozen eggs and over 40 boxes of cake mix.

It was a great day for baking, dark and rainy.
We jumped right in and started mixing, cracking eggs, filling cupcake tins and baking.

"When we are eighty we are going to look back on this and laugh." -Sherri

Mr. and Mrs. C cooled and boxed them up as they were ready.

And our adorable quality control manager took his job seriously.

Sherri, would it be weird if I started calling you "Cupcake"? =)

Six hours later we had 742 cupcakes in three different flavors cooling on the table or boxed away.
Good Job Team!

It was fun and I would totally do it again!

Decorating the cupcakes will be done tomorrow morning.

Wow over 700 cupcakes, I do not think I've ever seen that many at once.
