One day last week...

Geoff was out of town for a couple days so I took advantage of having a vehicle and took the boys to the zoo one afternoon! They needed to burn off some of their seemingly endless energy and I needed some sunshine. =)


We enjoyed the beautiful day with the animals and looking at all the gorgeous flowers blooming.

Some of the animals that are usually sleeping or hiding because of the heat were out and about on since it was cooler that day. So it was fun to see.

We spent some time hanging at the playground. They also have a water area/splash zone that we'll enjoy this summer!

In one building they have a Bug Zoo where they have some live insects and spiders along with many different bugs on display.

They have an area with puppets for the kids to play with as well as low tables with puzzles, books and other activities. It's really neat!
