Operation Christmas Child

Our church is collecting shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. Elijah got really excited about it and kept asking to pack more boxes. I love seeing him thinking about others and giving to others. He put one of his favorite toy cars into his first box. We had fun at the store picking out things for the boxes.

Elijah picked out some stickers.

One chose to pack one of the boxes for a little girl and every little girl likes nail polish!

Ethan had fun helping too!

Boxes are packed and ready to go!

Something new this year is that you can track your boxes. You will get an email telling you what country your box was sent to! How cool is that!?

These boxes can have a huge impact on the children who receive them. After they get the boxes some of the kids join a bible study program and get the opportunity to learn more about the Lord.

You can find more information and find a drop off location near you by clicking here.

We do this every year for Christmas. It has become a tradition. My kids are always excited to make up the boxes. One year a child wrote back to us. He sent us a family picture. We have it framed and hanging in our living rm.

Such a great idea that is. Love the way the boys are working on it. My nephew is a fan of cars too.
