So THIS is what it's like to have six kids!

The only down fall to having best friends is that there are times when distance separates you and your heart is torn when you can't be there with them to celebrate those moments you've dreamed about since you were little.

When Sherri called me Saturday morning to tell me Brittany was in labor I wanted to jump on a plane or in my van and high tail it to SC. Since that wasn't possible I had to content myself with phone calls and text messages.
Congratulations to Patrick and Brittany on the birth of their daughter Ella!
The family of three leaving the birth center.
Sherri and I are hoping it works with finances and schedules out to go visit Brittany, Patrick and little Ella in July or August some time. I've asked God to make it possible.

Also on Saturday (as I anxiously awaited news of Brittany) we babysat the Kern children so their parents could go celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary.

We had two 5 year olds, a 4 year old, two 2 year olds and a 6 month old! Six kiddos five and under!

The crew: Ethan, Wesley, Me, Alexandra, Christian, Cohen and Elijah!

Geoff and I decided we were just practicing for if we ever have six kids! =)
The youngest of the bunch was this sweet girl. This was the longest time she's been away from her momma and the first time she took a bottle before bed. But she did great!

This is Ethan and Wesley, the two 2 year olds, trying to blow up those tiny little water balloons. =)

How many kiddos can fit in a kiddie pool? At least five...

The kids had a water balloon fight. We lined the kids along the wall and counted to three before saying "go!" We should have given the little ones ahead start because the big boys were so fast! Poor Wesley is still on the wall and the boys have balloons already!

Well, that was our Saturday. How was your weekend?

Love Crystal's comment! :)

You'd be a great mom to 6 or more because you are a great mom to those whom the Lord has already given you!

I am proud of you....

Hurray for Brittany and Patrick!
