Work. Dignity. Beauty.

"An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet,

regardless of time, place, or circumstance.

The thread may stretch or tangle,

but it will never break."

- A Chinese Proverb

I have some thing special to share with you today!

Scarlet Threads is a boutique offering beautiful and unique products made by women in rural Asia.

Check out these adorable aprons...

"No matter what country we call home, as women we care about the same things -- our children and our families. When you purchase a Scarlet Threads product, you become intricately connected to a woman half a world away. You give her the chance to provide for her family in a safe and dignified way, and you make our vision a reality."

I've just spent some time reading about the staff and am inspired myself to help find some homes for these beautiful aprons! I think every woman needs a fun apron to help her cook! It'll make everything she cooks taste better just by wearing one! =) Just kidding, but I'm sure it can't hurt either!

{Profit Sharing} "In addition to paying a fair wage to each seamstress for her work, we share 5 percent of the profits with the women. Calculated based on the sale of the aprons they produce, this is another method to infuse more money into the local community with dignity and compassion.
{Giving Back} We donate 5 percent of each sale to development projects benefiting impoverished families living in our local village. These contributions help with medical costs, school fees, and basic housing improvements for families who are not able to provide for themselves."

Read the rest of their values here.

The more I learn about this company the more i love it!

And the exiting part for you all right now is that Scarlet Threads is graciously offering one of YOU this beautiful apron!!!
"Functional yet fun, this apron is perfect for kneading the sweetest dough. Combining retro flowers with a geometric pattern, the dark blue fabric is a perfect blend of funky and feminine. The eye-catching button on the adjustable neck-strap makes this apron a perfect fit for any woman! A favorite among many of our testers, this apron is up to your toughest kitchen tasks. We know you'll love it; just promise to share the cookies!"

How awsome is that!?

I want to win this because I love it and I really need an apron. Now that I have kids, I am baking more and since I don't have as much time to be neat, I usually get something on myself. An apron would be great!
