the Belfast Christmas Market; part deux

Warning! Warning! This post may cause intense food cravings! Enter at your own risk!

Don't say I didn't warn you! And yes, the food of the Christmas Market deserves it's own post. Just wait till you see all this good stuff!

The first thing i noticed when we walked into the market was the unmistakable scent of curry! Not exactly what I would expect to smell at a Christmas market but delicious non the less!

There was more than one booth selling bowls of steaming curry and this one below offering a free taste test...

Mildest at the left and working right up to the spiciest on the right. I stuck to the left side but if Geoff had been there he would have dived right in on the far far right! =)

Not a curry fan?

How about some fresh garlic mushrooms sauteed right in front of you in loads of butter?

Or have your pick out of all these different kinds of cheeses...

and nuts...

I really should have tried those Thai Curry Cashews!

There were plenty of options for those of you with a sweet tooth. Let's start off with some coconut macaroons...

Donna bought a couple of these and they were SO good! And big! They had to be the biggest macaroon i had ever had the pleasure of eating.

Oh boy, i'm getting those cravings i warned you about. I can almost smell the Belgian chocolate waffles...

Ohhh, there they are...

These look like fun...

Eiffel Tower waffles on a stick!

And for all the tea lovers around here...

Ok, so there was one thing I was willing to pass on. Read the next sign...

Ostrich burgers? Kangaroo?

Let's take a break from all the food and have a closer look at the war memorial.

We ordered a chocolate Crepe made with Nutella.

And here is the man making our crepe. He poured a spoon full of batter on the hot grill and then used that stick with the flat end to make it really thin.

Here's Donna in her "silly hat" as Elijah calls it, waiting for our crepe. Isn't she cute in her pink hat?

Someone likes the runny chocolate crepe!

We bought Geoff a gift...

A grass pet hedgehog! I mean really, who wouldn't want one of these?

Thank you God for such a clear and gorgeous day! The only clear day we've had all week!

See, i made Donna do all the work...

If you didn't catch yesterdays post about the Christmas market you can see it here. You know, just in case you didn't see enough pictures in this post! =)

The Market is on for a few weeks this time every year so if you are ever in Ireland before Christmas i would highly recommend you make a stop here.

As long as it's not raining.

Oh, I'd like some cheese and nuts and one of those chocolate crepes. It looks like you had a lovely day, and both boys look so unsure of Santa, but at least they didn't cry.
