September Sunshine

Our second deputation meeting went really well last night. Thanks for your prayers for us in this area. We need you!

This time we were in a smaller church. The people were super kind and supportive. After the meeting we sat down and had a cup of tea and a light snack. That gave us a chance to talk one on one with them and get to know them a bit better. It also made it a really late night again. This church was nearly an hour away so I felt bad for our babysitter by the time we got home it was pretty late.

This morning Elijah is saying his tummy hurts so he's snuggled on the couch watching cartoons. He doesn't get to do this at home since we don't have a TV so i figure i'll let him enjoy it this morning.

I just wanted to post some pictures of what we've been up to this week.

There's no time to be bored around here! The boys and i have been busy! We've been blessed with beautiful weather so we've been out...

Collecting eggs

Feeding the cows
Walking the dogs
This is Alabama. She's the newest member of the Gill family and she is so sweet! I think that when the Gills come back i'm taking Alabama home with me! Elijah loves her too and she's really good with the kids.

Ethan started fussing and here she is coming over to make sure he's ok.

He was fine. Just letting me know he was ready for his nap.
While Ethan naps Elijah and I pick veggies in the garden and water the plants in the green house.

Elijah showing off a tiny tomato

Yesterday we picked tomatoes, dug up potatoes and pulled up carrots.

I steamed the potatoes, carrots and a couple sweet potatoes. Then blended them up and put it into baby food jars i'd been saving. And volia! Ethan has healthy, fresh, organic, home made food.

See it's even correctly labeled!I had so much fun making this yesterday. It felt so good to pick the fresh vegetables and make something so good for our little guy. The veggies when from the ground to the jar in one afternoon. Awesome! Plus saving money is always fun!

Well, i need to go. Granny wants salad for lunch today so i'm heading to the garden to pick the lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, peppers, green onions. A whole salad is waiting to be picked!

I feel so productive!

What makes you feel productive? And any tips on making baby food?

How sweet. I love animals. I believe they are one of God's ways of being here in flesh.
