Big boy

My little boy is growing up! Elijah slept in his toddler bed for the first time last night. Up till now he's been sleeping in a pack 'n play. It's worked out well. He couldn't get out of bed at night and into trouble that way. =)
Last night when he wouldn't go to sleep I went in to check on him and sat down on his toddler bed to hold him for a minuet. He immediately lay down there and patted the pillow for me to lay down with him. So i did for a bit then covered him up and said goodnight. He had all the teddy bears and stuffed animals lined up against the wall and the biggest teddy next to him that he wanted covered with the blanket too. He woke up around three and came to our room yelling. =) Scared me because i'd forgotten he was in the bed he could get out of and so it took me a second to understand why he was yelling right out side our door. But he went back to his big boy bed and slept the rest of the night well. I've got mixed feelings about all this. I realize it's high time he was sleeping in a bigger bed but that means he's growing up!
This next aspect of growing up i'm quite ready for though... potty training! We've been working on this off and on for a while now but now that we're home for a while we're seriously working on it. It's going pretty good as long as we take him to the potty regularly. So that takes up a good part of the day and we haven't left the house much the last few days. But it'll be worth it! =)
Geoff is taking the CDL test as we speak.
I guess that's it for now... it's about time for another potty trip.
Hope you're having a great day!

Melissa,

Ah the joys of little ones.

Out of necessity our kiddo's were in beds at 18 months!! As for the potty training, don't stress at all about it. I did with the first and it was the hardest one. When they are ready you will know!!
