Belfast

No, we didn't have to duck pipe bombs and stop at road checks or see cops on every corner. Belfast isn't like that anymore. It's safe and actually a great place to go Christmas shopping if the amount of people there today was any indication.

After a beautiful sunrise this morning. (see the first picture above) Geoff took Elijah and I down there today and we had a great time. First stop... Starbucks. A Chi latte for Geoff and a creme brulle' latte for me. Delish! Now we're ready to face those crowds out there! (I think Elijah preferred sipping out of my mug over Geoff's. heehee! Shhh! Don't tell Elijah's grandma! =) Anyway, we were downtown Belfast and the crowds were intense but here and there along the street were groups or sometimes individuals with instruments playing Christmas music! It was great. Defiantly set the mood. =)
We walked down to the City Hall and were greeted with "Merry Christmas from Belfast" strung over the street. (it would be pretty at night with the lights) It was nice to see that they don't have a problem with the words "Merry Christmas" over here yet.
We took a spin on The Belfast Wheel. It's kind of like the London Eye except smaller and faster. There were great views from up there.

Lunch was Fish and Chips with salt and vinegar.

Elijah is taking a late nap as we wait for everyone to get home. Then we are going out for an Indian meal.

Hope you all are enjoying time with your family's and making some good memories.

All for now,

Elijah looks like he’s having fun =) He looks so cute all bundled up and with that hat on. I’ve never seen him in winter clothes. Could he possibly get any cuter???!!!!
