Geoff and I had to drag the boys out of bed this morning but we made it downtown and found a spot along 4th Avenue to watch the ceremonial start of the 2016 Iditarod, the Last Great Race.
This year 85 teams have entered making it the third largest field in the history of the race.
It was a lot of fun to see the teams race by and to hear the excitement of the crowd cheering them on.
