I could hear you say that first line with the "saracastic" voice we usually never hear! You did well, I mean you know what I told you I would do if a lady ever came to my house to check on my kiddos. Kudos to you and blessings for putting up with that. And I am glad you did not bring up homeschooling. I would hate for them to say you could not. Love you!Sherrinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29210235.post-43050817840003384702009-05-14T12:30:00.000-04:002009-05-14T12:30:00.000-04:00I think that you handled the situation gracefully....I think that you handled the situation gracefully. If someone were to wake my cranky sleeping toddler, I might have pounced them, literally. I was home yesterday with my little girl because she is having some tummy trouble (too much cheese..) and the phone rang. I wanted to pick it up and ask them why they would call during nap time ;O) I didn't, she kept sleeping.

I'm sure that living in a different country has many challenges. I would not like a health visitor coming to my home. I just wouldn't. And about the socialization issue, just how has socialization honestly helped our children over the past 100 years?? I ask you ;o) (my mom and I have spent countless hours talking about this because we just don't get it :o) ) They learn plenty from their family and friends and church...

Anyway.. Vent away dear friend... It always makes one feel better... You are a good mommy!java girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04195562131030027861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29210235.post-40624439647349337692009-05-13T22:07:00.000-04:002009-05-13T22:07:00.000-04:00You Rock! Those kids (some of them aren't kids anymore!) are doing quite well socially. There are other ways to gain social skills besides going to school.Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05535881273481381348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29210235.post-22897175881834644922009-05-13T21:13:00.000-04:002009-05-13T21:13:00.000-04:00my baby has slept on his tummy since he was 3 week...my baby has slept on his tummy since he was 3 weeks old, it's the only way he's comfortable! We hear that all of the time and we don't live in an isolated area. We hear it simply because we homeschool, and my boys have plenty of friends. The best thing is that they can socialize with people of all ages and not just the ones in their peer groups.
